Plans and Pricing

Designing your home just got a whole lot easier. You no longer have to feel intimidated by the design process.  We bring the design to you in the comfort of your own home.  With our e-design service you can receive a professional design plan regardless of where you live.  In addition, you pick the plan you want based on your budget and needs. This option works well for any person or business that feels comfortable executing and installing a decorating project on your own. It’s perfect for those that don’t require the full services of a traditional client. We take your dreams and goals for your home or office space and formulate a complete one-of-a-kind design plan that you can implement on your own and at your own pace.

Basic Plan:

You will receive a basic floor plan to scale with the new color palette of your room.

Advanced Plan:

You will receive a basic floor plan with the new color palette of your room.  You are also given a rendering of the space that has the suggested fabrics and a paint/wallpaper schedule for your walls and trim.

Premium Design Plan:

You will receive a professionally assembled design that includes a space plan to scale in the new color palette of your room. You are also given a rendering of the space that has the suggested fabrics on the furnishings and draperies, and accurate paint colors on the walls. You will receive an “after” make-over picture before you start the project allowing you to truly visualize the final result. We provide fabric samples so you can feel the texture yourself. You also receive a furniture schedule with pictures and information of the suggested furnishings, rugs, drapery and accessories. Finally, we provide paint suggestions, instructions on implementation and any answers to your questionnaire.

In order to execute your unique design plan, we will need the following information from you:

  1. Full measurements of the room including walls, ceiling heights, doors and windows placement.
  2. Pictures of the room from each wall and pictures of items you would like incorporated into your new design plan.
  3. Inspiration photos to help us identify your personal design style. (Magazine photos, internet photos, etc.)
  4. A completed Design Style Questionnaire.
  5. And finally before we begin working on your custom design we must receive payment in full.
  6. You may either email all of this information or send it in the mail with your payment. Payment can also be made securely through our website.  If we feel we need additional information we will contact you by email to ensure you receive a product you’re pleased with.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are you able to help me over the internet?
We ask you to fill out an Interior Design Questionnaire that will give us most of what we need to understand your needs for your space, then we take it from there.  You are asked to send pictures of the room/rooms and any furniture you want incorporated in the space. We can communicate through emails but the initial contact may need to be over the phone so we can get a better feel of what you are looking for.
How do I know you are qualified to help me?
I am a 1991 honors graduate from Virginia Tech majoring in Interior Design. I have worked in the field for over 20 years. My portfolio page will show you my style of work and the testimonials will add to your comfort level.  My staff is friendly and not pretentious. No question is silly and we are here to make your space a space you love.
How do I get my design plan?
Everything is done by email or through the us postal service.  We are here for you and welcome your email questions while the job is being done. The plan you purchase will determine the amount of detailed drawings and information you get.
Can I upgrade after signing up?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time after signing up. When you sign up you may think you will get what you need from a more basic package.  As the design progresses you may feel you want to increase your design profile. We are happy to discuss your needs and reevaluate your plan then upgrade if necessary.
What if I am not happy. Do you offer a full refund?
We at Interior Motives Design Studio want you to be happy.  We will do everything it takes to make your dream of a well functioning, up-to-date, beautifully designed room come true. Do to the nature of the business and the time and effort it takes to design a room full refunds are not offered at this time.
Do you make in home consultations?
If you live on the Jersey Shore we would be happy to offer our personal design services in person. Prices vary and depending on the job specifications.  A $150.00 design fee will be charged at the time of the visit to cover costs.
How long will it take to get my design plan?
Every design is different and the plan you choose determines the extras that you get. In general a design plan takes 2-3 weeks from conception to delivery.
